If your counter says the pad is full, the pad is likely very wet. If you reset the counter without changing or cleaning the pad, you are removing the safety mechanism. Eventually, ink will overflow the pad. It will leak out the bottom of the printer, ruin your desk, and potentially short-circuit the motherboard.
Epson engineers programmed the printer to count every drop of ink that goes into this pad. Once this internal reaches 100%, the printer will lock itself down and show the "Service Required" message, even if the physical pad itself could still absorb more ink. As one online guide notes, "the only solution is to reset the ink waste pad counter".
Click the button to read the current percentage and point status of the pads. The application will display the exact volume of ink registered.
Because these programs are hosted on file-sharing sites, forums, and obscure blogs, they are prime targets for malware distributors. Many ".exe" files claiming to be "Epson Resetters" are actually Trojans designed to steal data or encrypt your files. Always scan these files with a robust antivirus program before running them.
⚠️ Skipping adjustments may cause poor print quality after reset.
: Resets the internal counter to 0%, allowing the printer to resume operation.
